Service Orientation

We believe that serving others has transformative power.  One of our missions is to share this belief with our members in hopes that they will in turn, share the benefits of community service in their classrooms.

Perhaps the first and biggest benefit people get from volunteering is the satisfaction of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference in their community and country.

The intangible benefits alone—such as pride, satisfaction, and accomplishment—are worthwhile reasons to serve. In addition, when we share our time and talents we:

• Solve Problems
• Strengthen Communities
• Improve Lives
• Connect to Others
• Transform Our Own Lives

Please visit the Corporation for National & Community Service to learn more about the wide range of benefits of serving others.

Additionally, we have identified some incredible opportunities for educators and students to become involved.  We certainly hope you will consider assisting one of these fine organizations the next time you are searching for an avenue in which to serve.

A PLACE OF REST AND RESTORATION FOR CHILD SURVIVORS OF SEX TRAFFICKING.

The Refuge for DMST (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) has a very specific mission: To provide trauma-informed, long-term restoration shelter and services for girls, minors through age 19, who have been exploited through sex trafficking.
